Shauna Burchett, Synergy Healthcare

Shauna Burchett, owner of Synergy Healthcare, is a Canadian native who has been living in the states for 16 years, the last 12 of them in Spokane.  When she is not running Synergy, she is a mom Taxi driving her three boys all over God’s creation and making sure they get their homework done.  She couldn’t find a decent Canadian to marry which is surprising because they are all so polite, so she found an American.  They’ve been married for almost 15 years and  are heading on their first vacation without children on Monday for a week to the balmy Florida coast.  Hopefully it will warm up by then.

Burchett loves running Synergy and whenever she says “I have an idea” all of her people run for cover.  It’s never a dull moment when she’s around and once she was accused of being high maintenance.  Her husband came to the rescue and said “she’s not high maintenance, she just a handful”.   Being an entrepreneur has been the most maddening, exciting, thrilling, demoralizing, depressing, joyful, creative thing she has ever done, and the personal growth and development has been more rigorous than anything she could have imagined when she embarked on this journey 10 years ago.  Burchett is delighted to be a part of Nawbo, and thoroughly enjoys connecting with the women of this organization who all are doing what she is trying to do…build a business and keep her sanity.
