Use of NAWBO Members E-mail for Marketing
Permission marketing means obtaining customer consent before you send information from your company. Coined and popularized by Seth Godin, permission marketing is about building an ongoing relationship of increasing depth with customers; thereby, "turning strangers into friends, and friends into customers." Permission marketing has been hailed as a way for marketers to succeed in a world increasingly cluttered with marketing messages. Although very powerful, it is increasingly important to be careful about whom you add to your marketing list.
If you would like to include NAWBO members in your e-mail advertising, the Inland Northwest NAWBO Board asks you to be courteous and respectful by asking a member's permission before adding her to your e-mail list.
Now might also be a good time to refresh your knowledge of the CAN-SPAM Act of 2003 , which establishes requirements for those who send commercial e-mail, spells out penalties for spammers, and penalties for companies whose products are advertised in spam if they violate the law. This act also gives consumers the right to ask e-mailers to remove them from their e-mail lists.

Judith Kampf Law Offers New Services
Entity Formation: Hi everyone! I am currently offering an Entity Formation Special for new businesses seeking to form a corporation or LLC. The Special represents about a 40% discount off typical fees and includes full legal consultation and a full package of documents, federal tax number and S election filing, if needed. I find some people unfortunately try to choose their entity form and to form it themselves, but frequently do not do all that is needed and in some instances make bad errors that cost them significant dollars. Please call Judith Kampf of Kampf Law. Phone: 590-6400. Please mention this to anyone who may be thinking of starting a business or forming an entity. Ask Coralie Myers about the usefulness of professional advice in forming an entity!
Estate and Inheritance Blog: I am planning to start blogging about wills, estate and inheritance stories in about a month. It seems like almost everyone I meet with to do wills has a story about someone in their family who was overlooked or done out of an inheritance, with resulting disruption in family relationships. I am seeking your stories as part of my blog. Of course, identities will be obscured to protect the innocent, guilty, bystanders and everyone in between!! If you want to share any stories with me, please contact me, The Wills Lady aka Judith Kampf of Kampf Law at 590-6400 OR by email to: Judith@WILLSLADY.com Thanks. Looking forward to hearing your stories!!
Business Social Networking Setup: As mentioned at a recent meeting, my fifteen year old daughter and we are offering a setup service for those of you who would like to dive into the business social networking world (LinkedIn, LauchPad, etc) but feel intimidated or just do not have the time to get going. We will describe several of the business social networking services, then help you get set up on one, two or three of them. We will help you set up your profile, start identifying and requesting “friends”, requesting recommendations, get you signed up in one or more “communities” and showing you other uses. We are also available to assist you if you just want to set up a personal Face Book or MySpace account to keep up with your children or grandchildren!! Call Judith Kampf, 590-6400
Upstart Productions Sounds Even Better
UpStart Productions sounds even better! Kyrsten Lee Weber, voice actor and writer, has just purchased a Neumann TLM 103 microphone. For the uninitiated, this is the gold standard for recording the voice. If your business is considering TV or radio ads, a training video or corporate DVD, fundraising video, or on-hold messaging (a good use of your customers’ wait-time), consider using Kyrsten’s golden voice and state-of-the-art studio for your audio needs.
Client Kudos: “When I asked for recommendations, Kyrsten’s name was first and foremost. Narration is a nice niche, but you have to have what it takes to make it work. Kyrsten does!” –Roy Ramsey ** Element Media & Assessment Technologies Institute

Marti Hollenback and Dishman Dodge Stays
Marti says, "I just received official word today that Dishman Dodge's franchise will be renewed by the 'New Chrysler'. I'm sad for the dealers that will be cut (789 so far nationwide) but so thankful we'll still be a new vehicle dealership (and of course used vehicles as well)!"
June at Lorinda Knight Gallery
The June exhibit at Lorinda Knight Gallery will feature work by Jen Erickson and Andrew Bohl. Their pieces are small in scale but large in concept. The two artists are interested in how we know what we know and what happens to that knowledge. Although the exhibit is titled Dark Matter, the work is light and airy in feeling - a perfect start to the summer season. You are invited to a reception for the artists Friday, June 5, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
Lorinda Knight Gallery, 523 West Sprague Ave., Spokane. (509) 838-3740. www.lorindaknight.com.
