NAWBO-NW and YWCA Adopt-a-Family

Dear Family and Friends,

As you may know, we have participated in a special YWCA community program for the past several years around the holidays. This is an opportunity for us to reach out during this special Holiday season and help families that are in need. Essentially, we ‘adopt’ several families that are struggling right now and help them by providing essential items and Christmas presents that they may not otherwise get to enjoy this holiday season.

We have ‘adopted’ two different families that could really use our help this Holiday season. Below is a broad list of needs and wishes for each of the family members by age and gender. Please look it over and think about what you can donate to help us make this Holiday season a memorable one for these families in need. The items should be either new or in ‘like-new’ condition. Receipts for your ‘tax deductible donation’ will be provided to you upon request.

You can either bring your donation items to the upcoming December 1st NAWBO meeting at the Lincoln Center. Look for the YWCA table.

OR drop them off at one of the following locations between now and Dec 15th:

    She loves candles – cookie or brownie scented

Thank you in advance for your generosity.  Don’t worry about any duplication. The YWCA has so many needy families, they will not have any trouble finding a home for the duplicates.
