SPOKANE, Washington (October 6, 2009) – Inland Northwest Chapter of National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO-NW) and Bizstreet to host Healthy Working Professionals with featured speakers from Rockwood Clinic, November 4, 2009, at the Spokane Regional Business Center (SRBC) in Spokane, Washington.
Staying well and taking care of business should not be conflicting propositions. Rockwood Clinic experts will present strategies from their own lives and practical tools for maintaining balance and relieving the stressors that pile on as we manage business, care for family, and live life. This seminar will remind you that taking care of self is a good thing -- and necessary for success in your business and personal life.
Speakers include Rebecca Meiers, D.O., family medicine, among others. Dr. Meiers received her Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Idaho in Moscow, ID, and her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Des Moines, IA. She completed her residency at Family Medicine Spokane in Spokane, WA, and belongs to the American Osteopathic Board of Family Medicine. Dr. Meiers has special interests in women's health and preventative medicine, and has been a physician at Rockwood North Clinic since 2006.
For nearly 15 years, members of the Inland Northwest Chapter of NAWBO have worked to propel women entrepreneurs into economic, social and political spheres of power worldwide. NAWBO-NW has teamed up with Bizstreet, the small business program of Greater Spokane Incorporated (GSI), November 4, to bring leaders and role models in the health industry forward in ever-increasing area of concern for business owners - balancing personal wellness with the stress and demands of business ownership.
Healthy Working Professionals is open to all business owners; you do not need to be a member of NAWBO-NW or GSI to attend. Join us November 4, 2009 at the Spokane Regional Business Center (SRBC) in Spokane, Washington. Networking and continental breakfast begins at 7:30 am, presentation to follow at 8:00 am.
