President's Message
I feel very honored that I have had the opportunity to serve as the President of your NAWBO Inland NW chapter this year. It’s been an amazing year with the most vibrant and energetic group of NAWBO board members that I have ever worked with. I am lucky to have been under the wings of Immediate Past President, Alison Zecha, who is an amazing mentor, coach and fabulous leader.
The theme for this year is “Your Time is Now”. As your NAWBO board, we have worked hard for the past several years to bring you programs and events that will help you to grow your business, keep you up-to-date within our business community and help you to connect with other women business owners. Our programs continue to be packed with information that you can use, resources that stretch beyond our community and real inspiration for your soul.
We are already seeing many benefits from the implementation of our 3 year plan. Each month, we enjoy a newly extended networking hour at our membership events , affordably priced Business Showcase Tables, an informal gathering at our President’s Coffees, personal Side-Kicks assigned to each of our new members and a growing presence on Facebook/Twitter/LaunchPad. We are so proud of how far we have come and the growth that we have accomplished. And we are excited about the opportunities that are on the horizon.
We encourage you to participate at whatever level suits you. The NAWBO board is always a vibrant and productive place for you to get involved. Also, many of the board members lead a committee and are always looking for people just like you to share your strengths! Or if you are perfectly content to attend monthly meetings and enjoy the many benefits of NAWBO membership, that is just fine too. We have monthly meeting comment forms or an annual survey that you can take advantage of to share your ideas for our chapter. Better yet, just contact any board member directly. We are here to listen and we want to help empower you to achieve all of your professional and personal dreams. After all, with this many amazing women business owners, no one should have to learn things the hard way.
NAWBO has been a huge part of my professional life for more than 5 years now. It is my wish that you will attend NAWBO meetings and make friends, find a deep inspiration and leave with a new spring in your step… just the way that I have.
Cheers to a successful journey together!
