“Women of Worth” will explore the power of feminine time, talent and treasure to non-profit organizations. Just how powerful are we? What impact is being made by women in this sector? We will also learn about Transitions, a local organization serving women through four distinct programs – the Women’s Hearth, EduCare, the Transitional Living Center and Miryam’s House.
Speakers include Dia Maurer, Executive Director of Transitional Programs for Women, a non-profit organization focused on fostering the personal growth and wholeness of women and children in need through the operation of EduCare, Miryam’s House, the Women’s Hearth, and Transitional Living Center. Maurer has served in this role for two years and comes with a history of non-profit experience primarily with Habitat for Humanity, having been an Executive Director and International staff person. Her educational background includes an AA from Washington's Community College system, a BA from Gonzaga University in Marketing, and an MBA from Eastern Washington University. Additional speakers include Donna Graham of Donna's Seams to Fit, and Sandee Atwood of Fruci and Associates.
For nearly 15 years, members of the Inland Northwest Chapter of NAWBO have worked to propel women entrepreneurs into economic, social and political spheres of power worldwide. The Entrepreneurial Program Series is designed to help women in business meet the challenges of starting, running and maintaining a business in today’s marketplace, and the Series is presented during NAWBO-NW monthly chapter meetings.
NAWBO-NW meeting is open to all woman business owners. Join us December 10, 2009 at the Doubletree Hotel in Spokane, Washington.
