Women Business Owners Living The Dream

A NAWBO panel representing three business generations – emerging, established, and mature – with ownership including sole proprietor, partnership, and corporation -- took part in the Congresswoman Cathy McMorris Rodgers sponsored small business workshop on Saturday, April 18. 

Eldonna Shaw, liaison from the Spokane Valley Chamber of Commerce, moderated the panel.  Participants included:  Julie Prafke, Humanix Corporation, Darrelle Volwiler, Darrelle M Volwiler, PH.D., and Heather Brown and Ruthanne Eberly, Maid Naturally.  The panelists discussed how they started; some of their biggest challenges, and how they overcame then; and the type of support they had - family, NAWBO, etc. The panel was very well received by the 35 to 40 participants including a fairly large number of children.
