Hospice in Spokane

SPOKANE, Washington (November 2, 2010) – Inland Northwest Chapter of National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO-NW) to host Entrepreneurial Program Series with featured speaker Gina Drummond, "Hospice in Spokane," November 11, 2010, at The Lincoln Center in Spokane, WA.

For business owners in particular, caring for an elderly relative can take a toll. While there are no hard statistics, elder-care experts say that within families, it’s often the sibling who's an entrepreneur that becomes chief caretaker. That's partly because business owners have a natural "take-charge" personality — and partly because others in the family (especially those who work full time) perceive them to have more flexible schedules. Gina Drummond, CEO for Hospice of Spokane, talks about dealing with balancing running our businesses with the demands of our aging parents.

Gina Drummond, CEO for Hospice of Spokane, spent 10 years with Peace Hospice of Montana in Great Falls, MT as the Director prior to becoming the CEO for Hospice of Spokane.  She has held her current position for 6 years.  Her background in nursing is what led her to hospice.  She received her Bachelors and Masters in Nursing from Montana State University.

For 15 years, members of the Inland Northwest Chapter of NAWBO have worked to propel women entrepreneurs into economic, social and political spheres of power worldwide. The Entrepreneurial Program Series is designed to help women in business meet the challenges of starting, running and maintaining a business in today’s marketplace. The Entrepreneurial Series is presented during NAWBO-NW monthly chapter meetings.

NAWBO-NW meeting is open to all women business owners. Join us November 11, 2010 at The Lincoln Center in Spokane, WA. Networking begins at 5:00 pm, dinner and presentation to follow at 6:00 pm. Cost is $34 with RSVP prior to noon November 9; $39 after noon November 9. Walk-ins welcome. For more information or to register, visit www.NawboNW.org or call Karin Kassinger at (509) 731-3309.
