1st Annual Power Women's Summit

NAWBO-NW is proud to support the 1st Annual Power Women's Summit, Focus on Entrepreneurs. This event is being held on June 4, 2008 at the Mirabeau Park Hotel, Spokane Valley, WA. Presented by the Spokane Valley Chamber of Commerce, an associate member of NAWBO-NW, the half day event is to celebrate women in business. Cost is $65 for Chamber and NAWBO Members, and $75 for nonmembers. For more information, call (509) 924-4994.

Inland NW NAWBO Member and Sponsor, Billie Moreland, of Moreland and Associates Wins 2008 Journalist of the Year Award

Nancy Porzio, District Director, SBA Washington State, presents the 2008 SBA Small Business Journalist of the Year for Washington State and Region X (WA, OR, ID, and Alaska) to Billie Moreland, Past President, NAWBO Inland NW Chapter, and Silver Corporate Partner.

Moreland received the award in Seattle on April 29, 2008 for being a true champion of small business, whose tireless efforts have provided tangible and significant support to small businesses and to communities in the Inland Northwest. (more...)

National Make Mine a Million Selection Event coming to Washington
June 11 - Open to all existing Women Business Owners!

Seattle, Washington is the site for the first Northwest "Make Mine a Million Dollar Selection Event" scheduled on June 11, 2008. If you can attend, do so! The attendees actually help judge participants, and speakers are usually top-notch. It is a great opportunity to network with successful women, get a chance for a mentor, software, and more if you are selected, and support area women entrepreneurs.

NAWBO Members have new Resource!

A new business resource library has been established at Wheatland Bank's Spokane Valley Branch through the generosity of NAWBO Member Julie Prafke. The library has over 100 books on various business and personal development topics and are available for check out at no cost to NAWBO Members. A complete listing of the books can be found here.
